Abstract
Cilj ovoga rada je prikazati važnost čitanja u predškolskoj dobi. Na početku se definira čitanje i prikazuje se kakva je dječja motivacija, mašta i pažnja, što utječe na predčitačke vještine te kakvo treba biti ozračje i prostor. Spominju se i tri vrste dječje književnosti koje su najprisutnije u radu s djecom rane i predškolske dobi, a to su slikovnica, bajka i priča. Na kraju se ističe uloga roditelja i odgojitelja u čitanju i pripovijedanju djeci.
Abstract (english)
The purpose of this paper is to show the importance of reading in preschool age. At the beginning, reading is defined and it shows what child motivation, imagination and attention are, what affects the pre-reading skills and what the atmosphere and space should be like. There are also three types of children's literature that are most present in working with children of early and preschool age such as picture books, fairy tales and stories. The importance of parents and educators in reading and storytelling is shown at the end.
