Abstract
U ovom radu može se vidjeti kronologija nastanka Petrijevaca od davne prošlosti pa sve do danas. Mjesto Petrijevci imali su svoj razvojni put: Od rimskog naselja Murselle, preko srednjovjekovnog slavonskog naselja, sela u tursko doba i novog naselja sve do danas, mjesto je mijenjalo svoj lokalitet i kulturnu strukturu. Škola je, od jedne učionice s desetak djece i jednim učteljem, prerasla u četverogodišnju, da bi poslije oslobođenja zemlje 1945. godine, u novoj Socijalističkoj Jugoslaviji, doživjela dinamičan rast i procvat. Petrijevačka škola spada među najstarije škole u Slavoniji. 1788. godine otvorila je prvi put svoja vrata petrijevačkoj djeci. Civilizacija, kultura, misli i ostvarenja ljudskog duha postali su preko škole zajedničko dobro svakog pismenog čovjeka.
Abstract (english)
This paper provides the chronology of the town Petrijevci establishment starting from the distant past to the present day. During the development, Petrijevci has changed its locality and cultural structure from the Roman settlement Mürsel, medieval Slavonian settlements, villages during the Ottoman to the new settlements. A school, where only a dozen of children were taught, one classroom and one teacher working, has developed into a four-year school. Furthermore, upon the liberation of the country in 1945, in new Socialist Yugoslavia, the school has expanded and developed. In addition, the school in Petrijevci, opened in 1788, is one of the oldest schools in the region of Slavonia. Owing to the school, civilization, culture, thoughts and achievements of human spirit have become the common good of every educated man.
