Abstract
Rijetke bolesti se javljaju na manje od 5 pojedinaca na 10 000 stanovnika. Ove bolesti se većinom nasljeđuju. Život oboljelih i njihovih članova obitelji je većinom u lošem socijalnom položaju. Najpoznatije rijetke bolesti su porfirija, progerija, elefantijaza, hipertrihoza, Blue Skin Disorder, mikrospija, koprofagija, Blaschko's Lines i Jumping Frenchman Disorder. U ovom radu sam odlučila pisati o porfiriji i progeriji te podrobno opisati ova oboljenja i ukazati na njihove simptome,uzroke i posljedice. Ukazat ću vam na socijalni položaj oboljelih od rijetkih bolesti. Također sam imala istraživanje koje mi je dalo uvid u razmišljanje drugih ljudi o ovim rijetkim oboljenjima te koliko su se susretali s ovako oboljelim osobama u svakodnevnom životu.
Abstract (english)
Rare diseases appear in a small porsion of population. These diseases are mostly hereditary.Lives of inflicted people are often in a bad social position. The most known among rare diseases are porfiria,progeria,elephantiasis, hipertihosis, Blue Skin Disorder,mikropsia, coprophagia ,Blaschko`s Lines and Jumping Frenchman Disorder. In this work,I have decided to cover porfiria and progeria and so describe these inflictions in greater detail,along with their symptoms,causes and consequences. I will point on to the social position of the rare disease inflicted patients. I have also done a research which gave me an insight into a mindset of other people regarding these patients and how often they have encountered some of them in their own lives.
