Abstract
U ovom radu razmatra se STEAM pristup u ranom i predškolskom odgoju i obrazovanju kao inovativniji i kreativniji pristupu učenju. Implementiranjem umjetnosti u STEM koncept nastala je nova paradigma učenja koja sada nije multidisciplinarna nego interdisciplinarna. Umjetnost omogućuje djeci da izraze ono što osjećaju i znaju prije nego što znaju čitati ili pisati. U primjeni STEAM pristupa u ranom i predškolskom odgoju i obrazovanju postoje mnogi izazovi za odgojitelje. U okviru rada razmatraju se kompetencije koje suvremeni odgojitelj treba posjedovati i razvijati. Prikazani su načini organizacije rada i materijalnog okruženja, primjeri poticajnih pitanja koja podupiru usvajanje STEAM vještina kod djece, te smjernice za rad s djecom. Prikazani su i primjeri STEAM aktivnosti koje je s djecom moguće provoditi u dječjim vrtićima, kojima su jasno identificirani ishodi učenja.
Abstract (english)
In this final thesis the STEAM approach in Early Childhood Education is analysed as a more inovative and creative approach to learning. The new education paradigm is created by implementing Arts in the STEAM concept and is interdisciplinary rather than multidisciplinary. Children are able to express their feelings through art before they even know how to read and write. Using STEAM approach is very challenging for Early Childhood Educators. The competence that a modern educator should posess and develope are analized in the scope of this work. It shows various activities and material surrounding, examples of open-ended questions which support the use of STEAM skills with children, and guidelines for Early Childhood Educators. Futher more, there are examples of STEAM activities that can be carried on with children of early and preschool age, in which the study outcomes are clearly identified.
