Abstract
Jedna od najčešćih bolesti u žena je upravo rak dojke. Mortalitet zbog ove zloćudne bolesti sve više raste. Tumori dojke mogu biti malignog i benignog karaktera. Prije svega, važno je znati anatomiju i fiziologiju dojke kako bi mogli razumjeti na koji način ova bolest napada. Postoje razni čimbenici koji se mogu isključiti ili uključiti u svakodnevni život kako bi spriječili nastanak raka dojke. Neki od čimbenika koje treba isključiti su pušenje, prekomjerno i svakodnevno konzumiranje alkohola, dugotrajno korištenje kontracepcijskih tableta, a treba povećati i fizičku aktivnost te brigu o vlastitom zdravlju. Prevencija se provodi samopregledom, fizikalnim pregledom, ultrazvukom i mamografijom.
Abstract (english)
One of the most common non-communicable diseases in women is breast cancer. Its mortality rate is increasing rapidly due to its malignancy. Breast tumors can either be malignant or benign. It is important to first know the anatomy and physiology of the breast in order to understand how the disease develops. There are various factors that can be “turned on” or “turned off” in a person’s lifestyle to prevent the development of breast cancer. Some of the factors that should be “turned off” are smoking, excessive alcohol consumption and the use of contraceptive birth control pills. Factors which should be “turned on” include daily physical activity and looking after ones general health and wellbeing. Breast cancer can be prevented by self-examinations, physical examinations, ultrasound and mammography
