Abstract
Pojam kvalitete prisutan je još od davne povijesti, a s godinama se razvijao i koristio u raznim kontekstima. Općenito se može reći kako se odnosi na zadovoljstvo krajnjeg korisnika. Kvalitete u ustanovama ranog i predškolskog odgoja i obrazovanja, iznimno je važan segment odgoja i obrazovanja budući da ima izravan utjecaj na razvoj djeteta kao pojedinca te na društvo u cjelini.Visok stupanj kvalitete iznimno je teško postići i održati, a upravljanje kvalitetom predstavlja važan čimbenik koji potiče podizanje razine kvalitete. U radu je prikazan povijesni razvoj ustanova za rani i predškolski odgoj i obrazovanje, te razvoj odgojiteljske profesije kao važnih sastavnica kvalitete hrvatskog sustava ranog i predškolskog odgoja i obrazovanja. Uvidom u literaturu prikazani su i uspoređeni neki od pokazatelja kvalitete sustava ranog i predškolskog odgoja u Republici Hrvatskoj i Irskoj.
Abstract (english)
The concept of quality has been present since ancient history, and over the years it has been developed and used in various contexts. It can generally be said that it refers to end-user satisfaction. Quality in early and preschool education is an extremely important segment of education as it has a direct impact on the development of the child as an individual and on a whole society. A high level of quality is extremely difficult to achieve and maintain, and quality management is an important factor that encourages raising the level of quality. The paper presents the historical development of institutions for early and preschool education, and the development of the educational profession as important components of the quality of the Croatian system of early and preschool education. An insight into the literature presents and compares some of the indicators of the quality of the early and preschool education system in the Republic of Croatia and Ireland.
