The analysis of several folk fairy tales by Balint Vujkov as well as the main characteristics of Bunjevac folk fairy tales were carried out for the purpose of this final paper. The paper started with defining a fairy tale and its main features upon which it was divided in the main parts to detect the most frequent elements. The concept of a folk fairy tale, its elements, motifs, central ideas and structures were analyzed. Based on the elements published by Stjepko and Dubravka Težak in their book entitled Fairy tales interpretation (Interpretacija bajki), four fairy tales were analyzed focusing on a topic, content, characters and miracle elements. Every fairy tale was attributed its source and a person who retold it if applicable. The detailed characters’ analysis included their physical, social, ethical and psychological profile. Being an important characteristic, miracle elements were given a special attention in the paper. Finally, number symbolism was interpreted showing that certain numbers were frequent in fairy tales. The paper aimed to determine the structure of Balint Vujkov folk fairy tales.
