Dječaci se pretežno u slobodno vrijeme bave sportom i igranjem igrica, dok djevojčice to vrijeme provode u spontanoj igri s prijateljima i obitelji.
Abstract (english) Children should be encouraged to engage in kinesiology activity, because sports, except of being very important for health and the process of development, help children to acquire knowledge, skills and working competence. The aim of this graduation thesis is to find out the amount of kinesiology activities the elementary scholars from first to fourth grade in Vinkovci area practice the most as well as determining reasons for practicing or non-practicing. Respondent sample had 127 students (64 boys and 63 girls) in second, third and fourth class of elementary school in the city of Vinkovci. The questionnaire with eleven questions has been made in order to assess the kinesiology activities of students such as: free time activities, the duration of activities in sedentary lifestyle, practicing physical activities and sports as well as time spent in physical activities and reasons of practicing or non -practicing. The research result shows that the students in the second and third grade spent their leisure time in spontaneous play followed by sport, playing games or riding a bicycle. There are significant differences between sexes. The boys usually spend their leisure time by playing sport and games while girls spend their leisure time playing spontaneously with family and friends. Children spend usually two hours a day watching television, computer or on their mobile phones what is on the edge of World Health Organization recommendation and there are no significant differences between sexes. Concerning the extracurricular activities most students have been involved in sports or some other extracurricular activity (domestic science or traffic culture) and there are also no significant differences between sexes. It is commendable that approximately 90% of students practice sports some other physical activity or some other physical activity and that most frequently three to four times a week or every day and on average 1,07 hours a day which is above the minimal recommendation of the World Health Organization(WHO). By selecting sport, the most representing one is football, followed by swimming, contact sports and volleyball and there are differences in sexes. Football is played most frequently by boys and volleyball by girls whereas in other r sports they are equally positioned. The results have shown that students most often decide by themselves which sport they are going to play and that they are very conscious of kinesiology health importance as well since over 52% play sports to be healthy. To conclude, boys and girls agree that health culture time-table is insufficient and it should be bigger.
