Abstract
Poremećaji iz spektra autizma pripadaju u skupinu pervazivnih razvojnih poremećaja, no uzrok i dalje nije poznat u potpunosti. Djeca s poremećajima iz spektra autizma pokazuju znakove već od djetinjstva, u prve tri godine života. Poremećaj zahvaća gotovo sve psihičke funkcije i traje cijeli život. Iako se javljaju teškoće u raznim područjima, često pokazuju darovitost u nekim područjima te su visokofunkcionalni. Darovitost se najčešće javlja u području matematike, glazbe i umjetnosti. Kod djece s poremećajima iz spektra autizma je važna rana intervencija kako bi se moglo pravovremeno djelovati i pružiti im odgovarajuću pomoć i materijale koji će im osigurati razvijanje njihovih potencijala. Nije rijetkost da je darovitost u sjeni teškoće te da se nerijetko ne otkrije na vrijeme ili ne otkrije uopće. Iz tog razloga neophodna kompetencija učitelja i odgojitelja kako bi otkrili prve znakove darovitosti te na vrijeme reagirali jer su oni u svakodnevnom kontaktu s djecom. Veliku važnost imaju didaktičko-metodički postupci rada i prilagodbe sadržaja, a oni podrazumijevaju odabir određenih strategija i primjerenih postupaka prilagođavanja sadržaja pri poučavanju učenika s teškoćama u skladu s njegovim osobinama.
Abstract (english)
Autism spectrum disorders belong to the group of pervasive developmental disorders, but the cause is still not fully known. Children with autism spectrum disorders show signs in childhood, in the first three years of life. The disorder affects almost all mental functions and lasts a lifetime. Although they have difficulties in various areas, they often show giftedness in some areas and are high functioning. Giftedness occurs most often in the fields of mathematics, music, and art. For children with disorders from the autism spectrum, early intervention is most important to be able to act promptly and provide them with appropriate help and materials that will ensure the development of their potential. It is not rare that giftedness is hidden in the shadow of difficulties and that it is often not discovered in time or not discovered at all. For this reason, the competence of teachers and educators is necessary in order ttoe first signs of giftedness and react in time, because they are in daily contact with children. Didactic-methodical work procedures and content adaptation are of great importance, and they imply the selection of certain strategies and appropriate content adaptation procedures when teaching students with difficulties in accordbyaracteristics.
