Abstract
Cilj ovog završnog rada je kroz istraživanje relevantne literature saznati kako mediji utječu na usvajanje engleskog jezika kod djece rane i predškolske dobi. Na početku rada opisan je način i proces usvajanja engleskog jezika kod djece. Za bolje razumijevanje daljnjeg teksta, u nastavku je opisan jezični razvoj, njegova podjela i definicije. Brojni autori su se bavili istraživanjem utjecaja medija na razvoj jezičnih sposobnosti i usvajanje engleskog jezika kod djece predškolske dobi. Njihove teorije, istraživački radovi i mišljenja navedeni su kao glavni dio rada. Zbog velike digitalizacije modernog doba dostupni su mnogobrojni načini usvajanja engleskog jezika poput animiranih crtanih filmova, računalnih igrica, videozapisa i sl. Kao najčešći i najučinkovitiji izvori učenja i usvajanja engleskog jezika putem medija su aplikacije i pjesmice popraćene videozapisom, a samo neke od njih su navedene na kraju ovog rada.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this final paper is to find out in what way the media influence the acquisition of the English language in children of early and preschool age. At the beginning of the paper, the methods and processes of English language acquisition in children are described. For a better understanding of the text, language development, its categorization and definitions are described below. Numerous authors have researched the influence of the media on the development of language abilities and the acquisition of English in preschool children. Their theories, research papers and opinions are incorporated in the main body of the paper. Due to the great digitization of the modern era, there are many ways of learning and acquiring English, such as animated cartoons, computer games, videos, etc. Among the most common and effective sources of learning and learning English through the media are applications and songs accompanied by videos, and only some of them are listed at the end of this final paper.
