Music is one of the most important components of aesthetic education for children in early and preschool age. Carefully selected quality music for listening is extremely important because only such music can stimulate artistic sensibility, develop musical taste, arouse children's interest in listening to music and develop musical abilities. Features of Romantic music, such as striking melody, a distinctive atmosphere created by dynamic nuances, and a greater variety of instruments, are present in instrumental and music-theatrical works by composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Among his works, sections suitable for listening in working with children in kindergarten can be chosen. The aim of this research was to determine which compositions of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky are suitable for listening activities in working with children in early and preschool age in kindergarten. Through the analysis of musical components in examples from Tchaikovsky's opus recommended by music educators and teachers, it was found that numerous piano miniatures and excerpts from ballets are suitable for listening activities in kindergarten. Based on the analysis of musical components such as the mood of the composition, performance composition, tempo, dynamics, duration of the composition, and the most expressive musical component, as well as the specificities of music education with children in different age groups, titles of Tchaikovsky's compositions for listening activities in each age group in kindergarten are proposed.
