Abstract
Slikovnica ima ključnu ulogu u ranome i predškolskome odgoju djece pružajući bogato iskustvo koje potiče razvoj mašte, jezičnih vještina, emocionalne inteligencije te socijalne interakcije. Pomoću priča i ilustracija, slikovnice omogućuju djeci istražiti svijet oko sebe razvijajući sposobnosti zapažanja, analize i kritičkoga mišljenja. Također, slikovnice služe kao alat za emocionalno izražavanje pomažući djeci prepoznati i razumjeti svoje osjećaje te razvijati empatiju prema drugima. Zajedničkim čitanjem slikovnica, djeca jačaju svoje veze s roditeljima ili skrbnicima stvarajući pozitivne interakcije i potičući ljubav prema knjigama i čitanju. Slikovnice su također sredstvo za učenje o kulturološkoj raznolikosti i moralnim vrijednostima pružajući djetetu temelje za razumijevanje svijeta i izgradnju pozitivnih stavova prema sebi i drugima. Ukratko, slikovnica je neizostavan dio rane i predškolske edukacije jer pruža djetetu siguran i stimulativan prostor za rast, učenje i razvoj.
Abstract (english)
The picture book plays a key role in the early and preschool education of children, providing a rich experience that encourages the development of imagination, language skills, emotional intelligence and social interaction. Through stories and illustrations, picture books allow children to explore the world around them, developing the skills of observation, analysis and critical thinking. Also, picture books serve as a tool for emotional expression, helping children to recognize and understand their feelings and developing empathy for others. Through reading picture books together, children strengthen their bonds with their parents or guardians, creating positive interactions and fostering a love of books and reading. Picture books are also a means of learning about cultural diversity and moral values, providing the child with a foundation for understanding the world and building positive attitudes towards themselves and others. In short, the picture book is an indispensable part of early and preschool education, providing the child with a safe and stimulating space for growth, learning and development.
