Abstract
Istraživanja darovitosti naglasak stavljaju na djecu osnovnoškolske dobi dok je manji broj istraživanja darovite djece predškolske dobi. Na poticanje darovitosti više ulažu osnovnoškolske ustanove, jednako tako i u rad s darovitom djecom (engl. gifted children) gdje u kurikulumu postoji plan i program rada s darovitima, u predškolskome odgoju takav plan i program nije postojan. U tom su se kontekstu pokušali ispitati stavovi ispitanika i stvarno stanje prema fenomenu darovitosti. Prikupljanje podataka učinjeno je anketom od sedam pitanja, obuhvaćajući sam pojam darovitosti, rad s darovitom djecom, mitove i predrasude te osobna mišljenja. U istraživanju su sudjelovale 34 studentice treće godine ranoga i predškolskoga odgoja i obrazovanja, prosječne kronološke dobi 23 godine (min=21, max=26). Rezultati pokazuju kako studentice darovitost uglavnom ne smatraju posebnom potrebom. Nadalje, rezultati pokazuju kako su darovita djeca rado prihvaćena u odgojne skupine, ali i ukazuju na postojanje straha od rada s darovitom djecom što je rezultat nedovoljne kompetentnosti odgojitelja. Rezultati ovoga istraživanja mogu doprinijeti daljnjemu radu s darovitom djecom, smanjenju straha te razvoju kompetentnosti za rad s darovitom djecom u predškolskim ustanovama. Svaki odgojitelj je dovoljno kompetentan ako posjeduje strpljenje i ljubav za rad s djecom.
Abstract (english)
When studying special needs and talent, emphasis is put on elementary school children, with only a small number of studies that consider preschool children. In elementary schools there are special programs which deal with gifted children, which is not the case in the preschool curriculum. The purpose of this study is to analyse attitudes of preschool educators toward giftedness. The data were collected using the questionnaire, which consists of seven questions, including the concept of talent,work with gifted children, mythsand prejudice and personal opinions. The study included 34 female participants, with the average age of 23 years (min =21, max=26). Results show that talent is usually not considered as a special need. Gifted children are warmly accepted in educational groups. The fear of working with gifted childrenas a result of lack of competence, has been found. The results of this study may contribute to future work with gifted children, reduction of fear and the feeling of sufficient competencein working with children. Every educator is competent if he has patience and love to work with children.
