In this study, emphasis was placed on the Croatian feudal society and peasant s' revolt. Special attention is given to the most famous Croatian peasants' revolt, that of 1573. This rebellion is the central event in Croatian history because it represents the struggle for a better and fairer society. Despite the importance of this historic event, there is little evidence and credible sources about the peasants' revolt, likewise about its participants. Villagers from susjedgradsko - stubičko area, who took part in the peasants' revolt in 1573., also intended to bring together farmers from surrounding areas. The aim was to put pressure on Zagreb to insecure fairer collecting of daća, that peasants had to give, and to organize the defense from the Turkish attacks better. Peasants' uprising was suppressed while the leaders of the peasants' revolt were detained, investigated, and in the end, executed by the landowner to put other farmers in their place. The central character of this important historical event, is the figure of Matija Gubec, who was a supreme court judge in susjedgradsko - stubičko area. The peasants' revolt was turned into numerous literary and theatrical works, highlighting Gubec's figure, as an important transferor of the moral to the modern society.
