Abstract
Posljednjih je godina pretilost zbog svoje učestalosti, kako u odraslih tako i u djece, u svijetu, ali i u Republici Hrvatskoj, predmet brojnih rasprava. Sjedilački način života, nedostatak tjelesne aktivnosti i nezdrava prehrana uzroci su ovog problema. Brojne reklame za nezdravu hranu i piće kojima je svakodnevno izložena najosjetljivija skupina društva, djeca, direktno utječu na dječje poimanje prehrane. Pretilost također povećava rizik od nastanka brojnih kroničnih bolesti i poremećaja poput dijabetesa, bolesti srca, raka i dr. Pretilost se može prevenirati počevši od najranije dobi, usmjeravanjem djece na usvajanje zdravih životnih navika u čemu osim roditelja, najvažniju ulogu imaju odgojitelji.
Abstract (english)
In the last few years, obesity has become a subject of many discussions because of it`s frequency by adults, as well as children in the world, and also in Croatia. Sedentary lifestyle, a lack of physical activity and unhealthy food are the main causes of this problem. A lot of commercials that promote unhealthy food and drinks, and which are daily available to the most sensitive group of our society, children, directly influence on their understanding of nutrition. Obesity also increases the risk of many chronic diseases and disorders as diabetes, heart diseases, cancer, etc. Obesity can be prevented, starting from early age by educating children for healthy life habits, where parents as well as preschool teachers have an important role.
