Abstract
Rad čine dvije cjeline - teorijski dio istraživanja i njegov empirijski dio. U radu je opisano određenje i svojstva odgojno-obrazovne ustanove, zatim je izneseno ukratko o načinu strukturiranja odgojnih skupina. Opisane su dobno homogene i dobno heterogene skupine te njihova svojstva, navedene su prednosti pojedine skupine, ali i mogući problemi koji se pojavljuju. Opisana je i uloga odgojitelja bez kojih ustanova ne bi bila potpuna. Provedeno je istraživanje s odgojiteljima dječjeg vrtića „Vrapčić“ koji se nalazi u Podravini u Koprivničko-križevačkoj županiji, jer oni imaju iskustvo rada u dobno homogenoj, ali i dobno heterogenoj vrtićkoj skupini. Istraživanje je provedeno kako bi se saznalo što je po njihovom mišljenju pozitivnije za dječji razvoj - dobno homogene ili dobno heterogene skupine. Rezultati su pokazali kako odgojitelji dobno heterogene skupine procjenjuju pozitivnijima za djecu, a i za odgojitelje, utoliko što smatraju da im je lakše raditi u takvoj skupini nego u dobno homogenoj vrtićkoj skupini. Također smatraju da su djeca pristupačnija te da se lakše prilagođavaju takvim skupinama, ali gotovo svi odgojitelji izjasnili su se kako je lakše osmisliti poticaje, tj. aktivnosti za dobno homogene vrtiće skupine. Ipak, najvažnije je da se odgojitelji i djeca dobro osjećaju u svojoj grupi te da im se omogući kvalitetan rast i razvoj.
Abstract (english)
The final thesis is consisted of two units - theoretical part of the research and its empirical part. The definition and characteristics of the educational institution are described in the final thesis, as well as the structure of the educational groups in brief. The characteristics of homogeneous and heterogeneous age groups are described and the advantages of a particular group are listed, as well as some possible problems that could arise. The role of educators, without whom the institution would not be complete, is also described. A survey was conducted with educators in kindergarten "Vrapčić", located in Podravina in the Koprivnica-Križevci County, because they are experienced in working with a homogeneous but also heterogeneous kindergarten groups. The research was conducted with the aim of finding out what was, in their opinion, more positive for child development - homogeneous or heterogeneous age groups. The results have shown that educators assess the heterogeneous age groups as more positive for children and for educators, since they find it easier to work in such a group than in a homogenous age group. They also believe that children, in such groups, are more accessible and adapt more easily, although almost all educators claim that it is less complicated to organise activities for homogeneous groups.
