Abstract
Izumiranje kukaca je jedna od posljedica lošeg postupanja čovjeka s prirodom. Kako bi ispravili učinjeno i zaustavili izumiranje, potrebno je podučavati najmanje članove društva o važnosti kukaca za naš planet. Svrha ovog diplomskog rada je provesti istraživanje koje će provjeriti znanja o kukcima kod učenika mlađe školske dobi te provjeriti sadržaje u udžbenicima za Prirodu i društvo u kojima je prisutan pojam kukci. Nakon provedenog testa, dobiveni podaci pokazuju da više od polovice ispitanika zna imenovati čak 12 od 16 prikazanih kukaca. Iako se kukci u Nastavnom planu i programu za osnovnu školu spominju kao samostalna tema u sedmom razredu, dobiveni podaci govore da kod učenika postoji razvijen interes za kukce u ranijoj dobi te je zadatak učitelja razredne nastave iskoristiti to i podučiti učenike o karakteristikama navedene životinjske skupine te o važnosti njezinog opstanka.
Abstract (english)
The extinction of insects is one of the consequences of man's ill-treatment of nature. In order to make amends and stop the extinction, it is necessary to teach the youngest members of our society about the importance of insects for our planet. The purpose of this thesis is to conduct research that will test the knowledge of insects in students of younger school age and check the contents of textbooks for Nature and Society in which the term insects is present. After the test, the data obtained show that more than half of the respondents know how to name as many as 12 of the 16 insects shown. Although insects are mentioned in the curriculum for primary school as independent topic in the seventh grade, the data shows that students have a developed interest in insects at an earlier age and the task of primary school teachers is to use it and teach students about the characteristics of this animal group and the importance of its survival.
