Abstract
Cilj je ovoga istraživanja bio ispitati roditeljsku percepciju opasnosti na internetu s kojima se njihova djeca susreću. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo devedeset i šest sudionika od kojih je više ženskih (N= 79, 82,3%) nego muških (N=17, 17,7%) osoba. Sudionici, roditelji djece koji pohađaju razrednu nastavu, popunili su upitnik koji se sastoji od sociodemografskih pitanja te skale stavova o prednostima i opasnostima elektroničkih medija (računala, interneta i mobitela). Rezultati istraživanja pokazali su da je učestalost korištenja interneta povezana s roditeljskom percepcijom prednosti i opasnosti na internetu. Utvrđeno je da što češće roditelji koriste internet to percipiraju manje opasnosti, a više prednosti i obrnuto, što rjeđe koriste internet, percipiraju više opasnosti, a manje prednosti. Ujedno, rezultati su pokazali da razina obrazovanja roditelja nije značajno povezana s njihovom percepcijom prednosti ili opasnosti s kojima se njihova djeca susreću na internetu.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this study was to examine parent's perceptions of the online dangers that their children encounter. Ninety-six participants participated in the study, of whom were more women (N = 79, 82.3%) than men (N = 17, 17.7%). Participants, parents of children attending elementary school, filled out a questionnaire consisting of sociodemographic questions and a scale of attitudes about the benefits and dangers of electronic media (computers, the internet and mobile phones). The results of the research showed that the frequency of internet use is related to the parent's perception of the advantages and dangers of the Internet. It was found that the more often parents use the Internet, the less danger they perceive, and the more advantages, and vice versa, the less often they use the internet, they perceive more danger and fewer advantages. At the same time, the results showed that the level of education of parents is not significantly related to their perception of the advantages or dangers that their children encounter on the internet.
