Abstract
Romani su jedna od književnih vrsta koja se visoko cijeni pa samim time i nagrađuje. U RH dodjeljuje se više nagrada za dječju književnost, a najstarije je nagrada „Grigor Vitez“. Ovom se nagradom nagrađuju različite kategorije, uključujući i romane. Cilj je istraživanja utvrditi koje su teme i motivi zastupljeni u nagrađenim romanima te njihov doprinos suvremenoj dječjoj književnosti te smjer u kojem se te tendencije kreću. Ovaj rad pruža sveobuhvatan pregled suvremenih tema u dječjoj književnosti kroz prizmu nagrade „Grigor Vitez“, pridonoseći boljem razumijevanju razvoja i promjena u ovom važnom književnom području. Rezultati istraživanja ukazuju na to da čitatelji, ali i sami književnici, naginju fantastičnim temama, dok se stvarnosne teme također bore za svoju pozornost. Zaključno, iz nagrađivanih romana jasno je da hrvatska književnost za djecu i mlade prati svjetske trendove i unosi aktualne teme i motive.
Abstract (english)
Novels are a highly valued literary genre and therefore often awarded. In Croatia, there are several awards for children's literature, with the "Grigor Vitez" award being the oldest. This award recognizes various categories, including novels. The aim of this graduate thesis is to identify the themes and motifs present in the awarded novels and their contribution to contemporary children's literature, as well as the direction in which these trends are heading. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of contemporary themes in children's literature through the lens of the „Grigor Vitez“ award, contributing to a better understanding of the development and changes in this important literary field. The research results indicate that readers and writers alike prefer realistic themes, while fairy-tale themes also strive for attention. In conclusion, the awarded novels clearly show that Croatian children's and young adult literature follows global trends and incorporates contemporary themes and motifs.
