Abstract Invalidnost je u svijetu, kao i u Republici Hrvatskoj, mnogo raširenija nego što se misli. Hrvatski registar osoba s invaliditetom bilježi iznenađujuće visoke brojke. Pogledi na invalidnost mijenjali su se kroz povijest, no, u sadašnjosti sve je viša razin a svijesti o invalidnosti, kao i o potrebama, pravima i mogućnostima osoba s invaliditetom. Također, sve se više ulaže u osposobljavanje i pripremanje za rad osoba s invaliditetom, kako u industriji, građevinarstvu, trgovini, turizmu, tako i u obrazovanju. U ovome diplomskome radu a) definirat će se što je to invaliditet i tko su osobe s invaliditetom, b) upoznati zakonski okvir koji se odnosi na osobe s invaliditetom, c) izložit će se prava i uvjeti studenata s invaliditetom u Republici Hrvatskoj kao i d) podatci o ukupnom broju zaposlenih osoba s invaliditetom te podatci o broju osoba zaposlenih u obrazovanju u Republici Hrvatskoj, a bit će prikazano i kako je to biti e) učitelj razredne nastave s invaliditetom. Također, prikazat će se 1) rezultat istraživanja provedenog sa studentima treće godine Učiteljskoga studija o njihovim stavovima prema radu učitelja sa senzornim (oštećenje vida i sluha; slijepa i gluha osoba) i motoričkim biotičkim oštećenjima u redovnoj razrednoj nastavi, kao i 2) jednogodišnja opservacija i cjelodnevno sudjelovanje u neposrednom nastavnom radu s učiteljicom s motoričkim biotičkim oštećenjem koja radi u razrednoj nastavi u redovnoj osnovnoj školi. Osobe s invaliditetom trebaju biti ravnopravni članovi društva te je svrha ovoga rada otkloniti predrasude, pobliže upoznati pojam invaliditeta i prikazati jedan od mnogih primjera dobre prakse.
Abstract (english) Disability is a more common occurrence than thought – both in the world, as well as in the Republic of Croatia. The Croatian Registry of Persons with Disability shows surprisingly high numbers. The stance towards disability has been changing with time, but nowadays the level of the awareness of disability is growing and the needs, the rights, and the possibilities of persons with disability are being recognized more and more. Furthermore, the investments made into the training of persons with disability and preparing them for work are increasing both in size and number and it is happening in industry, construction, trade and tourism sectors as well as other areas of human activity. This master’s thesis a) defines the terms ‘disability’ and ‘persons with disability’, b) gives information about the legal framework concerning persons with disability, c) provides data on employment areas with regards to the employment sector, age, and counties in Croatia, as well as d) gives insight into the rights and conditions of students with disability and e) shows what being a class teacher with disability looks like. Moreover, this thesis contains 1) the results of a research conducted with third-year-students of the teacher education program on their attitude towards teachers with sensory (damaged sight and hearing; a blind and a deaf person) and motor biotic impairments working in day-to-day class teaching, as well as 2) a presentation of a one-year-observation and all-day partaking in the immediate teaching with a class teacher with motor biotic impairment working in a regular primary school. Persons with disability should be equal members of society and the purpose of this thesis is to dissolve prejudice, provide a closer insight into the term ‘disability’ and show one of many examples of good practice.
