Abstract
Cilj istraživanja je utvrditi povezanost roditeljskog stila odgajanja sa školskim uspjehom učenika te utvrditi moguće razlike s obzirom na mjesto stanovanja (grad-ruralno područje). Razmatraju se pojmovi odgoja i obitelji te se definiraju sa stajališta različitih autora i prikazuju se odgojne uloge obitelji unutar četiri odgojna stila: autoritativni, autoritarni, permisivan i zanemarujući roditeljski stil. Obitelj je za učenike mjesto od izuzetne važnosti jer unutar obitelji stječu prva... More iskustva i prve interakcije. U obitelji se vrši i odgoj i obrazovanje i kao takva ima snažan utjecaj na razvoj djeteta koji se kasnije odražava i na njegov školski uspjeh. Dok je odgoj formiranje skladne, slobodne, samosvjesne i stvaralačke osobe, obrazovanje je usvajanje naučnih znanja, izgrađivanje intelektualnih, moralnih, estetskih, stvaralačkih i drugih vrijednosti i razvijanje psihičkih i spoznajnih osobina i sposobnosti. Na kraju rada prikazano je istraživanje koje se provodilo u osmim razredima osnovnih škola. Instrument prikupljanja podataka je anketa. Rezultati su pokazali kako zapravo nema značajne razlike između školskog uspjeha učenika i roditeljskog stila odgajanja, ali postoje razlike između školskog uspjeha i mjesta stanovanja (grad-ruralno područje). Abstract (english)
This thesis focuses on the relationships between parenting styles and academic achievement and on identifing possible differences with respect to the place of residence (city-rural area). The concepts of rear and the family are considered and defined from the standpoint of different authors and the rearing roles of the family appear within four parenting styles: authoritative, authoritarian, permissive and neglectful parenting style. The family is a place of great importance for... More children because within the family they gain first experiences and first interactions. Rearing and education is provided in the family and as such has a strong influence on the development of a child and his academic achievement. While rearing is the formation of a harmonious, free, self-conscious and creative person, education is the acquisition of scientific knowledge, the building up of intellectual, moral, aesthetic, creative and other values and the development of psychic and cognitive traits and abilities. At the end of the paper a survey is shown which was conducted in the eighth grade of primary schools. The instruments used was a questionnaire. The results showed that there is no significant difference between the student's academic achievement and parenting style, but there are differences between academic achievement and place of residence.
