Intelektualna onesposobljenost uključuje teškoće u općim mentalnim sposobnostima koje utječu na funkcioniranje u dvama područjima, a to su intelektualno funkcioniranje (kao što je učenje, rješavanje problema i prosudba) te funkcioniranje u aktivnostima svakodnevnog života kao što su komunikacija i samostalan život. Abstract (english)
Intellectual disability includes difficulties in general mental capacities that affect functioning in two areas, namely, intellectual functioning (such as learning, solving problems and judgment) and functioning in everyday life activities such as communication and self – reliance. Intellectual disability affects about one percent of the population, and about 85 percent of them have mild disability.
