Abstract
Igra je urođena aktivnost djeteta. Ono uči igrajući se i igra se učeći. Kroz igru se dijete razvija emocionalno, tjelesno, socijalno i kognitivno. Dijete kroz igru uči, otkriva, istražuje i upoznaje svijet oko sebe. Za dijete je igra sloboda, zabava i uživanje. Važnost igre prepoznata je i u vodećim svjetskim dokumentima kao što je UN-ova Konvencija o dječjim pravima iz 1959., gdje se navodi da je igra jedno od temeljnih dječjih prava. Uvažavajući dijete kao aktivnog sudionika i sukreatora odgojno obrazovnog procesa, važno je propitati dječje gledište na igru koja čini veliki dio njegove svakodnevnice. U empirijskom dijelu rada cilj je bio dobiti uvid u to kako djeca razumiju igru s obzirom na njihovu dob, koje igre odabiru u dječjem vrtiću, a koje kod kuće, tko su sudionici tijekom igranja koje preferiraju, kao i igre koje najčešće igraju. Istraživanje je provedeno u Dječjem vrtiću Mak u Osijeku, gdje je u intervjuu sudjelovalo šezdesetero djece u dobi od 3 do 6 godina.
Abstract (english)
Playing is the inborn child activity. It learns through playing, and plays through learning. Through playing, child develops emotionally, physically, socially and cognitively. Child through playing learns, discovers, explores and gets to know the world around himself. For the child, playing is freedom, fun and enjoyment. The importance of the game has also been recognized in leading world documents such as the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child of 1959, which states that playing is one of the fundamental rights of children. By taking into consideration the child as an active participant and co-creator of the educational process, it is important to ask a child's perspective on the game that makes up a large part of his everyday life. In the empirical part of the paper, the aim is to gain insight into how children understand the game with regard to their age, which games are chosen in kindergarten and at home, who are the participants during the play they prefer, and the games they play most often. The research was conducted at the kindergarten "Mak" in Osijek, interviewing sixty children aged from 3 to 6 years.
