Abstract
Računalne igrice prije svega su programi za zabavu i razonodu,a tek kasnije njihova definicija poprima šire razmjere pa možemo reći da su to programi koji pospješuju edukaciju čovjeka. Danas nam bogato informatičko tržište nudi različite vrste računalnih igrica: igre za učenje i zabavu, akcijske igre, strategije i igre igranja uloga. Pristalice računalnih igrica koje ističu njihove pozitivne strane, naglašavaju svijet mašte i nebrojenih mogućnosti, te kako one poboljšavaju brzinu,... More koncentraciju, usredotočenost,potiču misaone procese, asocijativno i hipotetičko mišljenje, pospješuju koordinaciju pokreta. Uvažavajući pozitivne utjecaje računalnih igara velik broj roditelja, učitelja i stručnjaka upozorava na rizike i opasnosti što ih one donose. Ponajprije se upozorava na nasilje i ubijanje kao cilj, socijalnu izolaciju te problematičnu uporabu i stvaranje ovisnosti. Koliki i kakav će utjecaj imati računalne igrice na pojedinca ovisi o njegovim karakteristikama, sklonostima, o njegovoj osobnosti. Kako bi roditelji imali nadzor nad sadržajima kojima dijete pristupa na računalu, poželjno je računalo držati u nekoj zajedničkoj prostoriji poput dnevnog boravka. Naime, najveći broj iskorištavanja i izlaganja neprimjerenim sadržajima događa se dok su djeca na Internetu bez prisutnosti odraslih osoba. Osim sadržaja, roditelji tako mogu kontrolirati i vrijeme koje dijete provede za računalom. Također, korisno je i poželjno ponekad se pridružiti djetetu tijekom igranja računalnih igara i/ili pretraživanja Interneta. Na taj se način mogu bolje upoznati djetetove želje i interese, pokazati mu neki sadržaji do kojih možda ne bi samo znalo doći, a mogu mu biti zanimljivi i korisni, ali mu i dati prikladno objašnjenje ukoliko se naiđe na nerazumljiv, zastrašujući ili sadržaj neprimjeren njegovom uzrastu. To je naročito važno kod djece predškolskog uzrasta s obzirom na to da kod njih još uvijek ne postoji razlikovanje stvarnog svijeta od onog predstavljenog u medijima. Computer games are primarily programs for fun and entertainment, and their definiton takes on wider proportions later on, so we can say that these are the programs that enchance the education.The rich IT market is offering us different types of computer games: games for learning and fun, action games, strategy games, and role playing games. Computer games supporters are highlighting their positive sides, emphasize the fantasy world of infinite possibilites, and how they improve... More the speed, concentration, focus, stimulate thought processes, associative and hypothetical thinking enchance coordination. Even though they are aware of a positive effects that computer games have, a large number of parents, teachers, and experts warn about the risks and dangers the computer games cause. First, it points attention to the violence and killing as an objective, social isolation and problematic use and addiction. How much and what kind of impact will computer games have on an individual depends on individuals characteristics, preferences, and his personality. For parents to have control over facilities that child access to a computer, it is desirable to keep the computer in a common room like a living room. The large number of abuse and exposure to inappropriate content occurs while children are on the Internet without the presence of adults. Apart from the content, parents can control the time their children are spending on the computer. Also, it is useful and desirable to sometimes join your child for playing computer games and/or search the Internet. In this way adults can get to know the child's needs and interests better, to show him some of the content that was impossible for him to find, and that could be interesting and useful to him, but also, give him an appropriate explenation if there is an incomprehensible, intimidating,or inappropriate content for childs age. This is of an extreme importance for preeschool children due to the fact that for them there is still no difference between the real world and the one presented in the media.
