Diploma paper was written in the Department of Natural Science, in the subject Nature and Science under the supervision of mentors Irella Bogut, Professor Ph.D. and Ţeljko Popović, College Professor, M.Sc. In this diploma paper Marijana Đukić is presenting the short history of medicinal herbs, the notion of medicinal herbs and the ways of growing, harvesting, drying and storage of medicinal herbs, as well as their operation and use in everyday life. Also, presented a detailed description of the types of medicinal herbs. In the research part conducted surveys with educators and project with preschool children in kindergarten. The results of the survey showed the statistical analysis, and the project described by means of descriptive methods. The study sought to find out how many educators know about medicinal herbs and apply them in their work and how many children are aware of this issue and what they can do about it. Using the project sought to raise awareness of children about the importance of medicinal herbs and pass them through direct experience through activities familiar with the different types of medicinal herbs and the ways of their implementation. This research showed that more than 50% of educators aware of this issue and it was during their work practiced.
