This graduate thesis was done at the Department of Natural Sciences, subject of Nature and Science under guidance of mentor Irella Bogut, Assoc.Prof., D.Sc. and co-mentor Željko Popović, M.Sc., College Prof. The brain is a topic that is not represented in kindergarten. Only 36% of educators met with the theme of the brain through various projects, collaborating with faculty and students, and for weeks the brain, which takes place March 10 to 16 Year 2014 was declared the European Year of the brain, a campaign known in the world as Brain Awareness Week was initiated by The Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives and carried out with the purpose of promoting knowledge about the brain. The aim of this study is to investigate how often performed topic brain in kindergarten and is it being implemented at all. Diploma theses want to examine prejudice educators on topics, such as the brain, which at first glance too much trouble for preschool age. The task is to examine what is in their opinion, complex and as simple theme in working with children and how to make each of them spent the topic of the brain at the group level or at the level of kindergarten. The study included 30 educators from two kindergartens in Osijek and 10 educators from kindergarten in Beli Manastir. The survey was conducted in February 2015, a questionnaire which consisted of seven questions, of which two were closed. The results showed that educators believe that in practice the most important to offer something new and different and get out of the box. They are divided about the assumption that age dictates the topics that children face in kindergarten. Trainer must always offer the children something new and different, with this statement agrees 90% of educators, but the question remains as to whether this is in practice in kindergarten.This study showed that most educators believe that educators are the ones who unintentionally underestimate children (70%).
