Fine arts and music play a key role in a child's development, especially in the early years, when children express themselves spontaneously and intuitively. Music acts as a powerful stimulant for children, encouraging them to be creative and express themselves through drawing. Through musical and artistic activities, children have the opportunity to combine auditory and visual experiences, thus enriching their cognitive, emotional and motor abilities. The goal of conducting the research was to investigate how pre-school children interpret different musical stimuli with a pronounced rhythmic component. A qualitative analysis of children's art works attempted to determine how they interpret different musical stimuli with pronounced rhythm components in drawings. The research was carried out in DV "Zvončić" Našice, on a sample of 18 preschool children. The children had the task of listening to three compositions in which different components are emphasized: Dance of the Sugar Fairy", "Can Can" and "Dance of Colors with a Drum and mišnice, and expressing themselves artistically using felt-tip pens based on this musical stimulus. In total 54 papers were collected, 36 of which were analyzed in detail to find answers to the posed research questions. The results of the research showed that in the majority of children's art works, they do not recognize characteristic rhythmic components from different musical compositions. Children used curved and zig zag lines to display rhythmic components and were mostly associatively expressing motifs recognizable to them.
